Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby and drive you to Shakhrisabz (90 km, approximately a 2-hour drive) via the scenic Tahtakaracha Pass. During your city tour of Shakhrisabz, you will visit:
Downtown Shakhrisabz, known for its unique town layout and architecture;
- Dorus Saodat Memorial Complex, which includes the mausoleums of Jahongir and Omar Sheikh, as well as the 14th-century Khazrati Imam Mosque;
- Dor-ut Tilovat Ensemble, featuring Kok-Gumbaz Mosque ("Blue-Domed Mosque") and the burial vault of Tamerlane’s father;
- Ruins of the Ak-Saray Palace ("White Palace"), Tamerlane’s summer residence, considered a masterpiece of 14th–15th-century architecture by his contemporaries.
