How can I obtain an Uzbekistan e-Visa and check its application status?
To secure an Uzbekistan e-Visa, visit the official e-Visa portal , complete the application form with your personal details, specify your intended date of entry, and upload a scan of your passport and a passport-sized photograph.
After submitting your information, you will receive an email containing an activation code. This code needs to be entered back on the portal, followed by payment of the required visa fee.
According to the application information, the result is normally sent by email within three days.
You can check the status of your e-Visa application by entering the activation code received in your application confirmation email.

Visa-Free Entry for Certain Applicants Aged 55+
Visa-free entry to Uzbekistan for up to 30 days is established for citizens of certain countries who have reached the age of 55. Vietnam is included in this provision.
Special Visa-Free Rule for Citizens of India
Citizens of India may enter Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days if they hold a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, a Schengen Area country, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
Travellers must also present an air ticket for onward travel to India or a third country. The visa-free stay is permitted only while the qualifying foreign visa remains valid.

Citizens of many countries can obtain an e-Visa — single, double, or multiple entry — through the official Uzbekistan e-Visa portal .
After completing the application form, you will receive confirmation by email that your application has been received and will be asked to pay the visa fee.

Applying for a Visa Through an Embassy or Consulate
Applying for a tourist visa for Uzbekistan through an embassy or consulate generally involves two steps:
- Obtaining visa support — permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Obtaining a visa from an Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan or, in some cases, obtaining a visa on arrival at the airport.
Uzbekistan Visa Support / Letter of Invitation (LOI)
Visa support is a form of permission that allows a traveller to apply for an Uzbekistan visa.
A licensed travel agency can submit, on the traveller’s behalf, a Letter of Invitation (LOI) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Once the relevant approval has been granted, the travel agency provides the traveller with the reference or telex number required for the visa application.
Obtaining the Visa From an Embassy or Consulate
After receiving the required visa support, you can apply for your visa through the relevant official Uzbek visa authorities .
Depending on the application, you may need your completed visa application form, passport, visa support reference, passport-size photo, and payment of the applicable consular fee.

Obtaining a Visa on Arrival at the Airport
In certain circumstances, a visa on arrival may be available at Tashkent International Airport.
- You are a citizen of a country that does not have an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and/or
- You have insufficient time to obtain a visa at an embassy or consulate before travelling.
If you are from a country eligible for an e-Visa, the electronic visa system may be a more convenient option.
For a visa on arrival, travellers may need to present their passport, return or onward ticket, visa fee and, where required, visa support documentation.
Transit Visa for Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan also has specific transit arrangements for certain nationalities. Under the applicable rules, citizens of certain countries may transit Uzbekistan for up to 5 days without a visa when the required conditions are fulfilled.
Travellers who do not qualify for visa-free transit may need to obtain a transit visa in advance through an Uzbek embassy or consulate.
Uzbekistan Visa for Applicants Under 16
Foreign citizens under the age of 16 may enter Uzbekistan without a visa when they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who holds the necessary Uzbekistan entry visa and when they have a valid passport or biometric travel document.
The child’s permitted stay is linked to the validity of the accompanying parent or guardian’s visa and cannot exceed the applicable maximum period.

Tajikistan Visa

Turkmenistan Visa
Turkmenistan has a different visa procedure from most other Central Asian countries.
For tourist travel, foreign visitors generally need to work with an authorised travel agency to obtain a Letter of Invitation (LOI) before applying for the visa.
