Urgut is home to one of Uzbekistan’s most distinctive natural attractions. The name of this historic planting, which means “four plane trees,” is the Chor-Chinor garden. The term “plane tree” refers to these particular trees. Four such trees are said to have laid the groundwork for this garden’s foundation. It is no longer feasible to identify which plane tree was the original because all of the trees are extremely old.

The peculiar park appears at first to be nothing more than a gully covered with tree branches. Some plane trees have trunk diameters that are rather remarkable, and their crowns have become so densely entwined over many years that they appear to be inseparable. The trees are well protected. Each of them has an information plate with their approximate age on the trunk. The oldest specimens are roughly 600 years old, and there are others that are over 1,000 years old.

We organize a wonderful trip to Chor Chinor pilgrimage compex for you.
