Welcome to Lashkerek, where the beauty and might of nature are shown! We will visit imposing cliffs, rapids, and an enigmatic waterfall today with Doca Tours. Join us as we go on this expedition!
Just two hours from Tashkent, among the majestic mountains of the Kuramin Range, there is a place that amazes with its beauty and silence. This is the Lashkerek Gorge – a real pearl of Uzbekistan.
The name “Lashkerek” is translated as “military camp” or “battlefield”. It is believed that in ancient times, warriors’ camps could be located in this gorge or battles took place.
Lashkerek is famous for its juniper forests, which create a unique atmosphere. Juniper is an evergreen tree known for its healing air.
In the gorge, there are preserved paths that were used by nomads and traders on the way through the Kuramin Range. Today, these paths are popular among trekking enthusiasts.
The Lashkerek Gorge is located in the spurs of the Kuramin Range, which is considered a natural barrier between the Tashkent region and Kazakhstan.

Local residents say that in the gorge you can hear the “voice of the mountains”. According to one legend, this is the echo of ancient warriors who guarded these places.
There are several caves in the gorge, some of which remain unexplored to this day. They attract speleologists and adventurers.
The Lashkerek Gorge is part of the Kurama Ridge ecosystem, which plays an important role in maintaining the region’s biodiversity.
Wildlife and greenery abound at Lashkerek. This area is home to rare birds and animals including eagles and ibex.
And this is the waterfall that is the center of Lashkerek! You are frozen in awe of this natural splendor. There’s freshness and amazing energy everywhere, as streams of water roar down from the rocks.
Among the most beautiful waterfalls in the area is this one. It is several dozen meters high, and the natural surroundings give the location a mystical feel. Mountain rivers feed the waterfall, which is particularly abundant in the spring as the snow melts.
You can replenish your energy, feel like you’re a part of nature, and experience genuine emotions at Lashkerek.
The best seasons to visit are spring and early summer. The waterfall is at its peak during this time, and the verdant surroundings of nature provide a delightful experience.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, extreme activities, and peaceful seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Lashkerek is the perfect place. This is the place for you if you’re searching for inspiration, adventure, or simply beauty.
I hope that was interesting, and now it’s time to say farewell, my friends! There are a lot of new things coming up, so stick with Doca Tours. See you on your upcoming travels!
